LOCALBIRDER - OLD HALL MARSHES
Wednesday 2nd November 2016

A great day walking the long route along the seawall. Some good birds were seen including an unexpected 1st year ARCTIC TERN that gave exceptional views down to a few feet as it plunged into the water. Shame I didn't lug my camera around!

Other goodies included RED KITE, 2 SHORT-EARED OWLS, female MERLIN, 3 PEREGRINES, 7 COMMON BUZZARDS, 9 MARSH HARRIERS and KESTREL & SPARROWHAWK concluded the raptor fest. The high tide also displaced lots of ROCK PIPITS, SKYLARKS and REED BUNTINGS.
