WHERE THE PAGER TAKES US - SPRING SPECIAL
Saturday 27th May 2017

A challenging day weather-wise with hot, humid conditions and the occasional thunderstorm thrown in for good measure.

The day kicked off with a superb singing male WOOD WARBLER at Brandon that gave everyone cracking views as it sang at eye level in front of us!

Most of the day was spent at Lakenheath RSPB reserve where we heard a singing male MARSH WARBLER and some of the group were lucky to see it. Other goodies included HOBBIES, BITTERNS, MARSH HARRIERS, CUCKOO, KINGFISHER, CETTI'S WARBLERS and RINGED PLOVERS.

We rounded off the day looking for Stone Curlews but they didn't want to play ball...
