WHERE THE PAGER TAKES US – WADER SPECIAL
Saturday 25th August 2018

It was a fantastic sunny day for our first day trip of the autumn. We spent the time at the excellent Frampton Marsh RSPB reserve where our main target was an adult STILT SANDPIPER that had been present since earlier in the week. This bird gave us good scope views and attracted quite a crowd from all over the UK.

Other species of note included EURASIAN HOBBY, NORTHERN WHEATEARS, PEREGRINE FALCON, SPOTTED REDSHANKS, EURASIAN WHIMBREL, WESTERN YELLOW WAGTAILS and some lovely SEA ASTER MINING BEES which was a new species for all.

A great day out!
