Autumn Migration in Coastal Suffolk – Thrushes, Warblers & Rarities

Saturday 2nd October 2021

Autumn is a great time to catch up with some easterly species and early wintering birds such as Yellow-browed Warbler, Great Grey Shrike and Snow Bunting.

Our day in Suffolk will provide us with the best birds around and watching weather forecasts carefully, we hope they are favourable for migration.

A huge variety of migrants are possible and scarce/rare species could include Pectoral and Buff-breasted Sandpipers, Grey Phalarope, Sabine’s Gull and Leach’s Petrel through to Radde’s, Dusky, Yellow-browed and Pallas’s Leaf Warblers.

On previous tours we have seen Lapland Bunting, Rough-legged Buzzard, Pallid Swift, Rose-coloured Starling, Hornemann’s Arctic Redpoll and Barred Warbler amongst others.

We will have up-to-the-minute bird news ensuring we make the most of the day! Rendezvous location depending on bird news.
