Bradwell & Dengie Coast in Winter

Thursday 1st February 2024

A superb site at the mouth of the River Blackwater with a variety of habitat from beaches, grasslands and ditches through to estuary and scrub which attract raptors such as Hen & Western Marsh Harriers, Short-eared and Western Barn Owl, Merlin, Common Buzzard and Peregrine Falcon.

The marshes are superb habitats for thousands of wintering Dark-bellied Brent Geese plus small numbers of Eurasian Wigeon, Northern Pintail and Red-breasted Merganser. Other species of note may include Corn Bunting and European Stonechat.

All this plus thousands of waders make this a great winter destination
£35 per person (does not include entrance fees or parking charges)
