Fingringhoe Wick EWT Reserve – Waders, Dragonflies & other insects

Saturday 28th August 2021

Late summer is rather quiet for passerines but waders are returning from their arctic breeding grounds and should include Black-tailed & Bar-tailed Godwits, Grey Plover, Red Knot, Dunlin and European Golden Plover still in breeding plumage. Fingringhoe Wick is also a great place to see many species of insect and with luck we may find Southern Migrant Hawker dragonflies, Willow Emerald damselflies plus the superb Beewolf!
