This is a day when we hope to see over 100 species. This RSPB reserve has so many great habitats that we can be sure of a good day.
In the reedbeds we can expect to see Western Marsh Harrier, Eurasian Bittern, Bearded Reedling and Sedge, Cetti’s and Eurasian Reed Warblers. In the woodland we will be hoping for a good selection of warblers, also woodpeckers and hopefully Marsh Tit.
On the scrape may be goodies such as Mediterranean Gull, Sandwich Tern and waders including Pied Avocets and Godwits plus much more. The heathland can hold Eurasian Stone-curlew, Dartford Warbler, Tree Pipit, Woodlark and Eurasian Hobby. At this time of year anything is possible, just don’t forget your notebook!
