Where the Pager takes us – New Year Special

Saturday 8th January 2022

January is a fantastic time to kick off those New Year bird lists and catch up with wintering rarities and scarcities. In January 2019, East Anglia and the South East held Arctic Redpoll, Hume’s Leaf Warbler, Green-winged Teal, Rose-coloured Starling, Ring-necked Duck, Cattle Egret, Long-billed Dowitcher and Glossy Ibis.

With a supporting cast of Black Brant, Great Egret, Horned Lark, Common Crane, Glaucous, Iceland and Caspian Gulls plus many more, you never know what may be around at this time of year.

We will have up-to-the-minute information on both social media and our bird pagers to take in the best of winter birding.

Start the New Year in style!
