EAST YORKSHIRE – AUTUMN MIGRANTS SPECIAL

Our 17th tour of the year headed Northeast for a long weekend of birding at the migration hotspots of Spurn Point, Flamborough Head, Filey and Bempton Cliffs RSPB reserves.

The weather was great for migration and there were birds everywhere!

Some of the highlights included 2 RED-FLANKED BLUETAILS, PALLAS’S LEAF WARBLER, 2 COMMON FIRECREST, DUSKY WARBLER, YELLOW-BROWED WARBLER, 10+ BRAMBLINGS, WESTERN OSPREY, 3 JACK SNIPE, 800+ EURASIAN SKYLARKS, 6 BLACK REDSTARTS, 3 RING OUZEL, 100 EURASIAN SISKIN, 600 REDWING, 100 FIELDFARE, MERLIN, 50 LITTLE GULLS, ARCTIC SKUA, RAZORBILLS, GUILLEMOTS, NORTHERN GANNETS, LITTLE OWL, 30 LESSER REDPOLLS, 6 PEREGRINE and 25 BOTTLE-NOSE DOLPHIN amongst others.
