MAGICAL MULL

Mon 22nd - Mon 29th April 2024

The weather was amazing throughout the whole trip and the birds and wildlife were equally good, there were just so many highlights!

Our journey up to Mull produced both RED & BLACK GROUSE, NORTHERN WHEATEAR, EURASIAN WOODCOCK, WHITE-THROATED DIPPER and plenty of WILLOW WARBLERS.

BLACK GUILLEMOTS greeted us in Oban before our ferry crossing and our six days on Mull gave great views of up to 15 WHITE-TAILED & 7 GOLDEN EAGLES, 6+ HEN HARRIER, PEREGRINE FALCON, 50+ GREAT NORTHERN DIVER, BLACK-THROATED DIVER, TWITE, ATLANTIC PUFFINS, MANX SHEARWATERS, RED-THROATED DIVERS, GREAT SKUAS, more BLACK GUILLEMOTS, COMMON GRASSHOPPER WARBLER, EURASIAN WHIMBREL, COMMON CUCKOO and lots more.

It wasn’t just birds though as our group enjoyed watching EUROPEAN OTTERS and RED DEER.

We concluded the tour with a visit to Leighton Moss RSPB reserve where WESTERN MARSH HARRIERS, EUROPEAN OTTER, EURASIAN BITTERN, COMMON SWIFT, 2 OSPREY and both SEDGE & REED WARBLERS rounded off the trip nicely!
