NORFOLK WINTER BIRDING BREAK

Monday 7th - Thursday 10th February 2022

An amazing tour which took us to a variety of habitats.

In The Brecks on the Norfolk/Suffolk border we enjoyed watching displaying NORTHERN GOSHAWK, singing WOODLARKS, BRAMBLINGS, 12 HAWFINCHES, two TAWNY OWLS, 18 MANDARIN DUCKS, singing male COMMON FIRECREST, PEREGRINE FALCON, EURASIAN SISKINS plus MARSH TITS, EURASIAN TREECREEPER and EURASIAN NUTHATCH.

From our base on the North Norfolk coast we explored the area and were delighted with 4 HORNED LARKS, 70+ SNOW BUNTING, two VELVET SCOTERS, GREY PARTRIDGES, RED KITES galore, LITTLE OWL, two SIBERIAN CHIFFCHAFFS, two WATER RAILS, EURASIAN WOODCOCK, ICELAND GULL, NORTHERN FULMARS, WESTERN BARN OWL, CASPIAN GULL and PINK-FOOTED GEESE in their tens of thousands.

Another great area for birding is the Broads and our group had a great time watching 31 COMMON CRANES, RED-NECKED GREBE in summer plumage, four WESTERN CATTLE EGRETS, both WHOOPER and TUNDRA SWANS, PEREGRINE FALCON, 2 SHORT-EARED OWLS, 2 WESTERN BARN OWLS, female MERLIN and male HEN HARRIER.

All this plus fabulous accommodation, great food and drink and a fun group of clients to share it with!
